UPDATES FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE

As fall unfolds in Chicago, Lakeside Alliance continues to reach exciting construction milestones in Jackson Park. Here’s the latest from the site, as of October 2024:

“Uprising of the Sun” — an 83-foot-tall, 25-foot-wide stained glass art installation consisting of 35 individual painted glass panels — was installed on the north side of the Museum Building
Major mechanical units that serve the Museum were placed
Limestone installation on the exterior of the building has proceeded past the articulation point at Level 4
Placement of terrazzo concrete topping slabs at the Garden Level of the Forum has commenced
Overhead work for the Auditorium is proceeding
Concrete site walls and preparation for landscaping and sidewalks continues on the east side of the site, working towards the north
